Tori is a veterinary assistant who has been in the veterinary field for three years. Her goal is to become a certified Veterinary Nurse after attending Harcum College. Tori has spent most of her time volunteering at a number of different shelters in Philadelphia. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts, spending time with family and cuddling her cat Kiki whom she rescued as a kitten.
Samantha graduated from Temple University studying environmental science and biological anthropology. After graduating, she has done field research in Puerto Rico studying coquí frogs. In addition, Sam has worked at several zoos and aquariums as a zookeeper, including being a tropical bird keeper. Simultaneously as she was working with zoos, Samantha began working in the veterinary field with a special interest in exotics. Samantha LOVES birds, her three-legged dog Flipper,and the Philadelphia Eagles. Go Birds!
Rachel is a Certified Veterinary Technician who graduated from Northampton Community College in 2015. She loves traveling and spent many months abroad working in wildlife rehabilitation. While staying in countries like South Africa and Costa Rica, she helped in the fight against the poaching crisis and illegal wildlife trade. Rachel lives in Philadelphia with her 2 dogs, cat, tarantula, leopard gecko, and bunny amongst her jungle of plants.
Kelly is a certified veterinary technician who earned a degree in veterinary science technology from the State University Of New York at Delhi in December 2001. She has lived all over the country but has now settled down in Delaware. Kelly spends most of her off time boating or traveling with her fiance and 2 teenage sons.
Chris is a passionate certified veterinary technician who first entered this field in 1999. Her career focuses include: critical care, shelter medicine and she continues to teach in various contexts. Chris remains an active volunteer with NAVS (Native American Veterinary Services) traveling for weeks at a time providing veterinary care to Southwest reservations.
Shannon is a certified veterinary technician licensed in Pennsylvania and New York. She graduated from the veterinary technology program at SUNY Delhi in 2014. She also participated in a study abroad trip to South Africa to gain wildlife experience and assist with wildlife conservation. Shannon has been working in small animal practices for 6+ years and recently moved to Pennsylvania from New York with her 2 dogs (Sonny & Reign), cat (Breeze) and Russian tortoise (Tortellini).
