Lynia Dixon - Practice Manager
Lynia is a NYC native who moved with her family to Delaware a few years ago. She has been Managing veterinary practices for going on 19 years within various Veterinary corporations. Lynia has an extensive background on business development of veterinary practices and prides herself on growing thriving practices that provide optimal client experiences. She has two children and loves to travel. A fun fact about Lynia, due to her love of travel she is also a certified Travel agent for US and International travel. Lynia is a small dog and exotic animal lover. She can’t wait to meet you and your pet loved one!
Michelle - Technician
Michelle has been working in vet med for over 20yrs now. She started as a kennel assistant for an animal shelter and progressed from there to neurology, emergency and critical care. Originally, Michelle worked as an overnight technician for 15+ years in ER.
Michelle has four animals; Ice Cream, a 16-year-old Ragdoll, Wasabi, a 4-year-old Chow Chow, Georgia, a 1-year-old standard Poodle, and Poogie, a 3-year-old DLH cat.
Francis - Technician
Francis has been a veterinary technician for four years and has 7 cats; Tigger, Chuckee, Star, Phoebe, Bear, Orange Juice, and Cowy.
Francis loves being around animals and making them feel better when they’re not feeling well and is looking forward to being in the animal medical field for the long run.
Rhiannon - Technician
Rhiannon is a Bucks County native that moved into Philly 3 years ago. She is excited to work in the city she has grown to love so much. Rhiannon has worked in the veterinary industry for 7 years. Rhiannon is currently a cat mom to Lilith and Icarus, and has owned and fostered various dogs and exotics.
Asia - Lead CSR
Asia has been with 2nd Street Animal Hospital since 2023. She is new to the vet industry and loves her job and all of the things she has learned so far. Asia has over ten years of experience in customer service and five years of experience in management. She is considered a joyful, bright, and outgoing person, and is a mom to a 9-year-old son and their dog.
Laura - Client Services
Laura (they/she) recently joined the team at 2nd Street Animal Hospital in Philadelphia as a Client Service Representative. Having just relocated from Rockland County, NY, Laura brings with them two years of experience as a veterinary receptionist. Prior to that, their background primarily consisted of customer service roles in the restaurant industry. However, it was in the veterinary field that Laura discovered a true sense of belonging and tranquility.
Thrilled to contribute to the 2nd Street Animal Hospital team, Laura is passionate about their role and the work they do. If you get the chance, ask Laura about their beloved pet cat – they have some delightful pictures to share!
Angel - Client Services
Angel has been working in the veterinary industry since 2019. She has a passion and love for ALL animals especially her four cats and Rottweiler. Angel and her husband moved to Philly in 2023 from Atlanta, GA and they’re absolutely loving it.
Angel enjoys building Lego, painting, and playing her Nintendo switch in her free time. Please feel free to give her new and cool places to check out and see in the city!
